A Good Nudge Ltd Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1st September 2025
We’re A Good Nudge Limited, a UK-based Marketing & Design agency. We help brands shine brighter than a diamond in a disco ball with services like social media management, web development, influencer marketing, copywriting, paid ads, brand development, campaign management, and email marketing.
To do all that, we inevitably handle a fair whack of your personal data. We take that responsibility very seriously. But let’s be honest, we’d rather not make this the driest thing you’ll ever read. So here’s our Privacy Policy: professional enough to be lawful, but with just enough cheek to keep you awake.
1. Who We Are
We are A Good Nudge Limited, trading in the UK (Company Reg. No. 14489747). Our registered office is Old Bank Business Centre, 43-45 Church Street, Darlaston, West Midlands, United Kingdom, WS10 8DU.
We are the “data controller” when it comes to any personal information you hand over to us. Translation: we’re the ones legally responsible for looking after it, not the neighbour’s cat.
2. The Data We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details – Name, email, phone, social handles (you know, the usual suspects).
- Business details – Company name, position, billing info.
- Marketing-related data – Campaign preferences, project briefs, ad targeting data, etc.
- Website data – Analytics, cookies, IP addresses (don’t panic, we’re not tracking you to Tesco’s).
- Creative content – Copy, images, or other assets you send us for the work.
We only collect what we need to get the job done properly; nothing creepy, nothing unnecessary.
3. How We Use Your Data
In plain English: to deliver the goods you came to us for, and a bit of proper business housekeeping. Specifically:
- To provide our services (social, web, influencer campaigns — all the fun stuff).
- To communicate with you (emails, invoices, project updates, the occasional meme).
- To improve what we do (research, feedback, refining strategies).
- To keep the taxman happy (lawful record-keeping).
- To market responsibly (updates or offers; only if you’ve opted in. No spam bombs, promise).
4. The Legal Grounds (aka “GDPR Says So”)
We handle your data under these lawful bases:
- Contract – Because you’ve asked us to do work for you.
- Legitimate Interests – Because we genuinely need it to run our business (and we think it’s reasonable).
- Consent – When you’ve said “yes” to marketing or newsletters.
- Legal Obligation – When the HMRC wants a word (unfortunately, no opt-out there).
5. Sharing Your Data
We won’t sell your details to dodgy third parties; promise.
We may share data with trusted suppliers only when necessary (for example, with payment providers, subcontractors, or cloud services we use to deliver our work). All of them are vetted, GDPR-compliant, and equally terrified of losing their data-handling licence.
6. International Transfers
Occasionally, your data might be processed outside the UK/EEA (thanks, internet). If that happens, we’ll make sure there are proper safeguards (like standard contractual clauses) so your data isn’t wandering the Wild West unprotected.
7. How We Keep It Safe
We protect your data with modern security practices and regular checks. No system on earth is 100% invincible (yes, even MI5 and NASA get hacked), but we keep the risk as low as humanly possible.
8. How Long We Keep It
We keep personal data only as long as we need it:
- Client records – Up to 7 years (to keep accountants and auditors smiling).
- Marketing data – Until you tell us to stop bothering you.
- Stuff we don’t need anymore – straight to the digital shredder.
9. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you’ve got the following rights (legal superhero cape not included):
- Access your data (aka “what have you got on me then?”).
- Correct any mistakes.
- Ask us to delete it (unless we legally need to keep it).
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Portability (transfer your data somewhere else).
- Withdraw consent for marketing.
To exercise your rights, simply email us at [accounts@agoodnudge.co.uk]. We’ll sort it, no fuss.
10. Cookies (the digital kind, sadly)
Our website uses cookies for analytics and smoother browsing. You can block or delete them any time in your browser settings. But fair warning: it might make your browsing about as smooth as a gravel road.
11. How to Complain
If you think we’re treating your data badly, please tell us first so we can fix it.
If you’re still not happy, you can escalate to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): www.ico.org.uk.
Final Word
We take your privacy as seriously as we take our tea — strong, no nonsense, and without unnecessary spills.
